Tankoa S501 is the fourth hull of a very successful 50 metre motor yacht from the Genoese shipyard. The new model has swiftly attracted her first customers and the hulls already built have validated their principles during testing and subsequent operation. The layout of the main deck has been customised in a wide range of layouts, including the possibility to design the owner's suite in several configurations. Perfect seaworthiness, supreme fin stabilisation, low noise levels in all the areas these are the must-have features for a yacht in this class and the 501S is recognized by professionals as an excellent one from any of these points of view. All of the above makes this yacht one of the most comfortable yachts in the 500GT category.
The concept enables to build the yacht on the basis of both classic propulsion systems and the hybrid scheme that is currently gaining momentum in the market. The hybrid scheme, in addition to the two main diesel engines, includes two high power generators and two electric motors located on the main shafts with main propulsion systems. The use of this scheme allows for several modes of separate and parallel switching of the power units to achieve maximum efficiency either in terms of fuel consumption or noise level and service life of the units. The maximum speed of 17 knots with a fuel consumption of less than 450 l/hour is an outstanding result for a steel yacht with a hull length of 50 meters.
