The First Benetti Diamond 145 Project Launched
On January 25, 2020, the first yacht of the Diamond 145 project was launched at the Benetti shipyard in Viareggio. The baptising ceremony of the new 44-meter flagship of the Class line was held in front of hundreds of spectators gathered on the shore.
Diamond 145 is a powerful yet definetely elegant yacht with a fiberglass hull, a gross capacity of 456 tons and a range of 3,600 nautical miles at a cruise speed of 11 knots. The exterior design is the work of Giorgio M. Cassetta, the interior is created by the style Department of the Benetti shipyard itself.
The first hull of the Diamond 145 was named Ink, and the project itself is attracting everyone's attention as it is the only yacht of this length in the world built of fiberglass. Large-scale "seamless" deck glazing runs the entire length of the yacht, thus providing abundance of light in the interior. On board — 5 double cabins for the Owner and guests, crew compartment for 7 people and the captain's cabin on the upper deck at the control post.
The yacht's designer Giorgio M. Cassetta has commented: "The mission of the Diamond 145 project is to improve life on board not only for Owners and guests, but also for the entire team. The huge size allowed us to apply an impressively ergonomic approach that provides both a majestic view of the yacht and the ability to use new cutting-edge details, while still responding the current concept of "out of time".
